Can five sisters break the glass ceiling and inherit their father's land? Will Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milchah and Noach, aka, the Daughters of Zelophehad, triumph in their demand for justice, even though it requires Moses to change revealed laws? Come to Or Zarua this Saturday to find out!
Every month we gather on the first Saturday for a member-led service followed by a potluck lunch. Rahel Smith will give a drash on this epoch changing Torah portion. Natan Fenner will lead the prayers. Chaya Gusfield will provide the themes for aliyot and bless those who rise to bless the Torah. Chaya and Reba Connell are chanting the Torah portion, and Reba will share her own poem on the heroines of the week.
