10 am Text Study led by Eli Wirtschafter
Eli will be teaching a Sefardi piyut from High Holy Days (Selichot) which he recently learned in Grenada, Spain.
We'll study the text by Toledan poet Yehudah Halevi and explore connections between Muslim and Sefardi culture.
11 am Creative Shofar service led by Josh W.
12 pm Potluck Lunch (veggie, dairy, eggs, kosher fish OK--please write down the ingredients, & bring your own serving utensils, and consider bringing a reusable plate and utensils)
1.30pm Tashlich at the levee at the north end of Lake Anza (a short drive or 15 minute hike w/some significant climb) led by Allen Samelson
